People with disabilities offer many rewarding advantages to employers. Paramount Support Services’ staff will work diligently with local employers to assist them in filling their employment needs while expanding opportunities and empowering individuals. The Supported Employment component helps individuals in obtaining employment in the community by providing the following:
- Job Evaluation and Analysis
- Job Search
- Application and Interview Assistance
- Job Shadowing Opportunities
- Job Coaching
Following a detailed job analysis, the employee is trained to carry out necessary tasks associated with the job. A job coach will be assigned to support an individual in his/her work environment. Once the employer and employee are comfortable, there will be a shift from job coaching to natural supports, with job coaching support available as needed.
Person Centered Employment Program (PCE)
The PCE program is a structured, outcome based process designed to prepare individuals with disabilities to move successfully to community employment within a 12 month period of time. The Paramount approach is a therapeutic method that focuses on the barriers that keep the individuals we serve from moving forward to a self-determined life.
The PCE program consists of:
- Module #1 – Vocational Rehabilitation
- Module #2 – Supported Employment Enclave
- Module #3 – Supported Employment Community
This program is designed to be in alignment with Paramount’s vision of empowerment through choices and opportunities.
